Flemish Painted Oak Bas Relief Sculpture of the Nativity, ca. 1510

The scene composed with interesting symmetry with the Christ child as the center laying in a simple crib, Maria and Joseph to the left and right, an ox and a donkey, shepherds and musicians and pasture with sheep and peasants in the background. Retaining its original paint, beautifully worn off in places.
